WHATS NEW FOR 2026?

  • Friday evening qualifier (4 slots)

    • For those who missed the sign up window for the Open bracket, we have added a qualifier to the schedule on Friday evening, taking place just before the riders dinner and heat draw. The format is simple, we will host a 20 minute jam session on the DFD rail, and you will be judged on overall impression over the course of that session. There are 4 slots up for grabs, with 2 for men, 1 for women, and 1 more for a stand out rider of either gender. The winners of this qualifier will be announced at the riders dinner.

  • Larger Open Prize Purse

  • Larger Women’s Prize Purse

  • Spectators Bracket Prize (spectators will fill out a bracket and turn it in before the contest begins, and the spectator who filled out the most correct bracket wins, think “March Madness” style)

  • Riders Lunch & Dinner

  • Best Grab Contest (as part of the Best Grab World Tour). You do NOT need to be registered to ride in RGR to participate, all you need is a valid cable pass. Entry to a best grab contest is ALWAYS included in your cable pass.

  • Bracket Lotto (to be revealed at the riders dinner)

  • On-Site Camping (included in entry fee)

  • More ;)

This means that Women can receive prize money from both the Open bracket as well as the Women’s Final 4 bracket, depending on how they place.

For AM Riders:

The AM bracket will be capped at 16 riders, with the prizes being a free season pass, a Liquid Force wakeboard, and more.

Format Details

RGR is a rail only, rider judged, bracketed head to head contest, and features the inclusion of a Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ). This means that riders will ride a minimum of 2 times, and will likely ride much more than that throughout the day.

Rail Only: There will be no kicker hits in this contest, and the rider is judged based on their rail technicality, style, creativity, and overall impression performed in a full cable lap. Full pulls and tee’d up rail hits are what we are looking for.

Rider Judged: This event is rider judged, meaning each head-to-head heat is judged by the following head-to-head heat of riders, and in the event of a tie we will have a third party judge watching to make the call. Once the bracket is narrowed down to the Final 4 riders in both the Open and Women’s brackets, the 4 riders will then be judged by a preselected panel of judges who were riding in the contest. The outcome of this contest lies in the hands of those who choose to ride in it.

Head-to-head: Riders will have 1 complete lap each heat and will be judged only against the rider they are riding against. The better run moves on to the next round.

LCQ: If at anytime you are eliminated from the main bracket you will be put into the LCQ bracket and will have a chance to work your way back into the finals. You must lose twice to be eliminated from RGR.

Reverts/Composition: The composition of your run is important. Spin in both directions as well as frontside and backside, hit features regular and switch, and lastly but most importantly, do NOT revert anywhere in your run. Clean riding with full pulls will be rewarded. The rider with the best fully composed lap consisting of cleanliness, variety, tech, style, and creativity should be the one to move on.
